Advice, Guidance & Signposting

CARA aims to help all individuals who contact us for assistance, whether or not they meet the organisation’s eligibility criteria.  Where we cannot offer advice or guidance ourselves, we endeavour to refer enquirers to organisations that are better placed to give them the support they require. 

CARA is able to offer advice, guidance and signposting in three main areas:

• Funding - including loans and grants for undergraduate degrees and alternative funding opportunities for postgraduate and professional courses.
• Supporting Transition and Integration - to assist those looking for general information on community groups and services, English courses, employment, legal advice, and childcare
• Sector-specific advice - including how to re-qualify in the UK to work in several sectors, including medicine, law, dentistry, accounting, engineering etc.
