Leave a Gift in your Will

Leave a Gift in your Will

'I should like to express my sincere thanks to this organisation.  It has given me immense satisfaction to have made some contribution to the benefit of the country which gave me hospitality when I came here as a refugee from the Nazis.’
Ernst Chain, Nobel Prize winner and CARA grantee, 1945

CARA has been working to protect academics at risk, saving and transforming lives, for over eighty years.  In that time, legacies have played an important part in providing the funds to help us continue our work.

For many, there is no exact right time to write a will and you may or may not have already written your own.  We appreciate that the interests and well-being of relatives and close friends will naturally come first when you are making your will.  It is when they have been provided for that we ask you to remember CARA, alongside other causes important to you.

Your solicitor will be able to advise you how best to make provision in your will.  If you would like to discuss leaving a legacy to CARA, please contact Stephen Wordsworth, Executive Director, by email at wordsworth.cara@lsbu.ac.uk or by telephone on 020 7021 0882.
